I attended a recital of his in the early sixties and was very impressed. I don't recall him playing any 20th century music. The Chopin was wonderful although these many years later, I don't recall which piece. I've talked with his son briefly who is a fine player, the clarinet at the Shepherd School, Rice U. in Houston.
If I ever see any LPs of his father's, I will snatch them up.
