Her playing may be good, the movement is very distracting--very. Why did she go from BPO to LAPhil? I was reading LAPhil bios for entertainment and they have excellent backgrounds, like all the major symphony players now. I mentioned this here that when I attended the Brahms Double, they were very flat. But a week later in the Tchaikovsky potboiler concert, they sounded very good. Latter concert with much more august conductor. Dennis was almost off her chair a few times. You could see it on the TV screens, even almost from the audience!
When she played the Mozart K 364 with CYMO, Vijay Gupta was the violinist. That year, my kid wasn't in the main orch yet, but was year 2 of the training orchestra. She was in the audience, and commented on the motion. We really did not care for their performance, sorry.
