78's run the gamut from utterly worthless to single records worth thousands of dollars. I can usually predict the former, but not the latter. 78's of obscure instrumentalists (especially string players) and singers tend to be more valuable. 78's of famous artists are almost invariably worthless, except for extremely rare items recorded before they became well-known.
You really need to contact an expert - I'd recommend Larry Holdridge, who's been dealing with this material (and has an annual auction) for decades:
