Throw in Wes Montgomery moving to the Verve label and producing - Going out of my Head conducted by Oliver Nelson. Verve produced a number of big budget productions that year.
I agree 1965 was a fantastic year for the music. There were a lot of Jazz hits crossing over into the rock and soul venues. Ramsey Lewis' The In Crowd, is a case in point.
