Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

The Root Problem Isn't In the Schools.......... [yt]

The root problem is in the network media..... We never had a problem with kids becoming familiar with classical music up to the mid 1960s..... Then for a reason, which only the network executives could rationalize, classical music was not only cut out from prime time television, suddenly and in totality, but willfully hidden from the masses ever since. To this very day.

A lot of young people today don't know who Beethoven is...... Not because they don't teach it in the schools, but because the network media has never aired his music..... These networks would rather feed the masses Justin Bieber, Eminem, and Lady Gaga. (And nobody of the younger generation doesn't know who those people are.)

Meanwhile, the networks in Japan, unlike those in the U.S., have never cut out classical music programming..... And the younger generation over there is just as interested in classical music as we old people are.
