It's such a testament to a traveling virtuoso when the local orchestra LIKES her. In many cases the local strings are jealous that the latest "violin babe" gets big press. But with Hilary Hahn, that's not at all the case. The string players I know in the MSO couldn't speak more highly or her skills and they are flattered that she treats them respectfully.
