I would love to read an article by a drummer (maybe you?) who could list a bunch of the more commercially viable beats in music history and who came up with them. I remember once seeing a television interview with the guy who 'invented' the disco beat, damn him to hell. He was very repentent! Wish I could remember who it was, but I'm old, old, old and my brain no worky like it used to.
