At the very least, you'll hear q rather amazing performance--much better played than the more common Bayreuth version, which has boo-boos galore, despite (as we now know) containing several spliced in overdubs. The Lucerne features the Philharmonia, which was a better orchestra, and they're having a terrific day. Of course, WF's style will not be to all tastes, but for those who do appreciate him, this is IMO his best 9th (with the 37 BPO also in the running).
