The D. 956 quintet is to me, along with the late Beethoven quartets, the pinnacle of chamber composition. His song cycles, solo piano works and is somewhat neglected Masses are also fantastic. Okay, he is not an opera composer, so is not the complete can-do-it-all as is Mozart, but I agree that he was great with everything that he did.
