...if you were so kind to ask yourself a very simple question, and bring your honest answer here, I´d be most grateful:

Considering how DGG is part of the Universal group, with Decca and Philips being part of the lot; and considering how between all three they have more than thirty different recordings of those two symphonies, by more than well respected orchestras under equally worthy conductors -- Davis, Karajan, Jochum, Kleiber pere et fil, Keilberth, Kertesz, Kubelik, Solti, Bernstein, Abbado... --; and considering that the George Szell´s recording you mention belongs to a rival company; and considering how small the chance of this company lending a recording they own to a rival company, especially on shady ways, for even shadier purposes is..., do you still think that your silly theory holds any water?
