Hi-
I have only listened to the Ysaye, because I know it fairly well.
I think that she, on balance, plays it enviably well. It is one of the most difficult pieces, period.
My only quibble is that her very measured pace for the introduction--it actually to me sounds less like a "practice" tempo than a "learning the piece" tempo--gives rise to doubts about whether she has technique up to the demands. However, once the "Ballade" rhythm kicks in, she is up to the standard tempo, as shown by the circa-1963 definitive Oistrakh recording.
Top note in the moto perpetuo section was a hair flat. Pacing in the last measure a hair frantic.
NONETHELESS, even with the fairy godmother's wand and a million years to practice, I could never play it, let alone like that.
I hope it does her some good!
JM
