I have the original LP with "Dois Pra La" (Elis 1974). Wendi doesn't like the Carpenters either (I'll occasionally pull something by them out), so the nod to their production values on that track is a non-starter for her. She likes the 2 Na Bossa stuff and up through to about the albums Como E Porque and Elis in London. After that, I think she just can't get past the production values, which admittedly can be off-putting at first.

I've found that the latest round of CD remasters sound considerably better than even the original vinyl. Just go to Dusty Groove and get the current CD editions, it's easiest, sounds the best, and cost will be pretty close to getting it all on vinyl, which usually has to be shipped from overseas.
