... I can tell you the Jansons LSO is quite good, and I would give it the nod over the MTT or the Wit. I haven't heard the Jansons/RCO, but I would expect it to be cut from the same mold as the LSO recording: propulsive and well-proportioned in i and iii (and note that Jansons gets it right, putting the scherzo third), emotional but not weepy in the andante, and a finale that holds together very well even if it doesn't blow the roof off the way some do.
My favorite M6's, FWIW, would be the Mitropolous/NY, Haitink/BPO from the Mahler Feest set, Gielen and Abbado.
