Angela Gheorghiu and Roberto Alagna - a great couple of operatic singers

My first acquaintance with Angela Gheorghiu was as Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviata" on laserdisc. Beautiful as this lady is I preferred the singing of Fabraccini in the role and had a less positive opinion of Angela G. for some time.
However I now see the error of my ways and am a great fan. She has a superb voice and her pairing with husband Roberto Alagna in roles seems to have inspired her artistry to even greater heights.
This post is the result of listening to a new CD set which arrived yesterday - the much acclaimed CD set of Rossini's "La Rondine". Goose bump singing :-)
