Can't argue too much with the 1st seven, although I think many might have other additional suggetions for Germany. It produced so many great composers. Also, when I think of Russia I think of Prokofiev and Stravinsky long before I think of Tchaikovski (more popular) and Shastokovich (more prolific).
England - I think of Bantock, Bax, & Vaughn Williams, although I would agree that Elgar is more well known.France - Debussy
Italy - Puccini
USA - Copland!
Australia - Didn't know they had any composers. :-)
