Just got home from experiencing Lang Lang playing Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11 accompanied by the Seattle Symphony. Rarely have I been so moved by live music and I've heard most everything. Had me in tears with the first few notes and I didn't know I liked Chopin.I gather it was an exceptional performance of this piece as everyone was on their feet and it took four curtain calls to get us to quiet down. Just amazing. I've been following him a bit since his was one of the earlier SACDs. Got hooked on his way with the music.
