Home Jazz Alley

From Louis Armstrong to Charlie Parker to the new greats of today, this is the place for Jazz!

It IS mostly acoustic instruments and some electric guitar...

Elvin Jones on drums, Pharoah Sanders on sax, Charnett Moffett on bass.

Sonny Sharrock though played guitar like no one else and approached it
from a different perspective. He could do the "straight" jazz guitar thing
but that didn't ring his bell. He's considered more of an "outside" jazz
guy, if a definition is needed, though stylistically he covered quite a few
genres.

He was an electric force of nature and he is dearly missed.
