Jazz Alley From Louis Armstrong to Charlie Parker to the new greats of today, this is the place for Jazz! |
|
I spend a lot of time at my computer and usually play some music from
youtube for background. I try to listen to music I haven't heard before.
So yesterday, I played Coltrane's 'My Favorite Things'. I thought it was
pretty boring, actually. What am I missing? Can anyone explain to me
the attraction of this recording?
As an aside, I much prefer Zoot Sims and Budd Johnson on soprano sax.
Lack of skill dictates economy of style. - Joey Ramone
