No problem. Different strokes. I didn't care for it the first time I heard Mesmerism either. Sounded like and ECM record (generally too bland for me). I sat and listened to it again a week later and I got it. The Trio + 1 is a live date. Different bass player BTW. Far more energy on that record. 3+ hours of live music. I have since re-listened to Mesmerism and like it more now. I just like the decomposition of the standards and how they are reassembled..... You don't like Aaron Diehl on this session or generally you don't like what he has done? I am just asking, not trying to convince you of something.
