I talked to a guy from Jamaica during a smoke break at work many years ago, he said after moving to the states he has to take laxatives, he said he shit easier with the pure food grown in the seas and farms of his homeland.
It was something of a rant about McDonalds vs. Fresh fish and good soil if I remember correctly.
thanks for that extended version, I have their album on vinyl but I put away my record player, I might take it out one of these days.
Another note is I think I saw a youtube video of them playing in Brooklyn the Congos played a few years ago, the whole crowd was Jamaican and no one was dancing expect the white hippie chick in the front with golden blond dreads. I remember reading comments like WTF, one chick dancing...
They are getting long in the tooth as well, I fear real stuff like this is dying, as well as I have to say it Classical Indian music is dying too. It's all bollywood nonsense nowadays. Jazz is dying as well...
