Saw a Beefheart performance at the old Armadillo on my birthday many
years ago: one of his bass players and also one of his slide players
was Bruce Fowler on a bass valve trombone; the Captain kept bopping
around chanting "listen to the slide bass." Kalyi Jag is an Hungarian
folk gypsy outfit a lot like the original Ando Drom. Regards,
