Sorry, but I can't comment on any other versions of the 9th. In fact, this is my first 9th and only since yesterday have I owned any Bruckner at all.

You see, I'm pretty newbie too, and am no expert on classical music composition, conducting or performance (although I saw that excellent Mozart documentary), so I'll keep my critical evaluations to myself. I even like Stravinsky as a conductor, and that tells a lot about my picayune development.

This is a great place to learn though, blessed with a group of objective, studious experts who humbly and peacefully share great truths about all sorts of classical music issues. Occasionally there is a difference of opinion, and believe you me it's like the Clash of the Titans - when one falls it's pretty earth shaking.

Lots of Bruckner info in the archives I imaging, if one were to look. There's something of an underground fan club here, I understand.
