nice to hear about bruckner and Herr Doktor Jochum perfomances. i personally find it one of the best bruckner performances ever.sadly heliodor are often very poor remasterings of old magnificents mono rec.
E. Jochum made a first complete Bruckner Symphonies recording in the early fifties with the Berliner, that is probably the one you have in a heliodor re-issue.
i personally adore the beginning of the fourth simphony with the long horn-call, in Dr Jochum recording it is asolutely magnificent!!!
by the way do you know his recording of st matthew's passion he did with the concertebouw? (Philips)
