I have never heard a performance of the 4th with a cymbal crash in the finale. Where is it supposed to be? There is of course a disputed cymbal crash in the slow movement of the 7th which many conductors including Walter omit.

Of the available Fourths, either the Walter/CSO or the Klemperer do the job, tho I haven't heard Tennstedt. I have always loved the Walter.
