You are correct in everything that you say. But, there are companies like Sonus Faber and others, who DO build their speakers exactly like musical instruments! For those that don't build their speakers this way, I agree with your methods 100%. So, there's no need for "argument" on this issue --we both each just need to understand where each other is coming from. Sonus Faber and others that build their speakers the way I said know what they are doing. Harmonics are also created by room flexure, so it's not just the speaker which creates "harmonics". So, there is no need for "Here we go again", because I really don't disagree with anythinng you are saying.
