After a week or so of use, I am retracting what I said about the headband. Yes, it is still microphonic, but it does help to keep the earspeakers properly inserted in the ear canals. It is more stable and the head can be moved around without worrying about the earspeakers working themselves out of the ears. Just placing the eartips in the ear canals, with a slight effort to seat them (no need to fully insert, just get them started) is fine and the headband will hold them secure in that position. The bass is still as good as if they were more fully inserted.
