I've been wanting Magneplanars for years since I first heard them. I didn't want to spend money on anything that was only an incremental improvement. I listened to 3.7is in one location and 1.7s in another location. The listening environments were so different I couldn't realistically compare them. I had to go to another dealer that had both models. I bought the 3.7is at that location and they had a good deal on the used Anthem amp and preamp. So I picked them up at the same time.
