That is how I was thinking about it. Was playing my radio at the office and just sort of had that epiphany that it was really a monoblock amplifier in my current setup and two of them with properly split channels would make a quirky stereo system. If I ever get another y825 crossing my path I may give it a try for fun.
I have another couple of tube radios that I have rebuilt that have phono inputs but they would not make a matching pair. But they do give me more options if I happen to find one of their mates.
