Vinyl is not 'tangible' ?

Yes, I believe the article was comparing vinyl against downloads but it is also a well known fact that downloads are down due to streaming services.

So my point is, I wonder where vinyl stands overall.... not just against downloads which we have known for years have given up market share to streaming services.

Including a bigger picture comparison of vinyl to music distribution as a whole would have been nice.

Vinyl sales may be up but I don't believe there's a true 'vinyl revival' going on out there. It's an attractive medium for hipsters and such but far from main stream, and will never be main stream again. It's cool for decorating ones walls and watching it spin on a platter. ;-)

Heck, even Crate and Barrel stores are pushing it for decorating one's house.

Just my 2-cents worth, of course.
