Just looking at what's in my office at the moment, I have discs by Controlled Bleeding, Hair Police, Borbetomagus, Macronympha and Whitehouse. They are pretty far removed from Luc Ferrari, however.
Noise music has almost as many sub-genres as metal.
Now if you're simply talking "found sounds", again, absolutely. I'd love to record the squeak in my front door. I can get it to change pitch by various hand pressures. I'm a sound junkie. Your train sounds right up my alley, pun intended. You should pick up the Steve Reich/Kronos Quartet disc "Different Trains".
