Anyway, a long time ago, I was preparing to make a copy of a recording. It was at the Alte Kirche Boswil, southwest of Zurich, during a lunch break at the contemporary music festival. The original recording was on a "pancake" tape. I picked it up, and it "broke". I spent the next 30 minutes un-spooling tape up and down and up and down and ... the center aisle and rewinding the tape onto a new platter. Nobody ever knew - but now that I've told the story here, everybody knows.
I hate tape pancakes!!
