It sure seems it to me, and I'll contend that music lovers, in general, are also audiophiles to some degree. At first, I was a music lover first and foremost, but the poor sound from my Maggies 1.6s forced me to become an audiophile and I upgraded the capacitors so that my music would sound great. After getting the sound I was after, I stopped being an audiophile and began on my way again to being a classical music lover.
But now I see that the prices of my classical CDs have dwindled considerably over the past several years and I take this to infer that fewer and fewer people are getting into classical.
