I use both.
For Redbook CD I use the digital output via a BlackCat digital cable to my PS Audio NuWave DAC. For SACD I use the analog outputs from the player direct to the preamp/integrated.
With regard to the Redbook CD, running the signal through the outboard DAC sounds noticeably better than using the spinner's integrated DAC.
