In order to answer your question we need to know what the receiver is. A small number (now vintage?) would allow a link to be removed allowing the separation of pre amp section from power amp section. However I am only aware of this facility for certain stereo not multichannel components. So to connect this AV pre would lose the whole multichannel point of the Marantz 7702.

My advice is to either buy a multi channel amp (if MCH is what you want) or write down your mistake to experience and sell it.
