Maybe you can repair it?

Often what happens is the conductive paint on the buttons gets worn off. I had to resort to repainting a remote I could just not find a replacement for and could not find a universal code that worked.

But to be frank, if you can get the model number of the remote, usually on the inside, try to find a replacement. They are a pain in the ass to fix.
