I started making mix tapes from my LPs back in '77 on my top loading Superscope cassette deck. Then I got a JVC and a Dual autoreverse cassette deck. Then on various Nakamichis like the 480, LX-5, CR-4A and CR-7A. Many were part of the wooing process of my now wife.
I still do mix CDs for my wife on my Denon CD recorder. She refuses to use an I-pod in her car, so I make dubs of her CDs on the computer for her car to save the originals. I use my I-pod in the car, so she's even more old school than I am!
