Many come in @ well under $200.
Mono is fine for a kitchen, IMO, as I used a vintage KLH Model 21 radio for many years in such an application.
The Tivoli's are "sort of" a modern version of the KLH 21.
Not certain about distance VS signal quality (per Chip's post), but hopefully there will be some decent online reviews to evaluate.
Only used BT with keyboards and mice for our IMac, so know very little about it.
