I have been to the Arsht Center in Miami to see a few very high energy blues musicians. The audience was composed of sober octogenarians who probably weren't cool even in the 60's when they might have had one cool friend.
I was more impressed by how a musician could still play (I guess it is a testament to the love they have for performing) in this room full of the living dead. I am not talking about the age of the audience but of the utter lack of enthusiasm they had for a guy up on stage and a band playing and singing their hearts out.
Personally I was going nuts and having a great time. My friend even ran up to the stage in one instance and started dancing all by himself! We are both vinyl heads and the Arsht is, I believe, all digitally amplified. It made NO difference to me.
