My tinnitus is basically gone. I may experience it one day a week, lightly. I was stuck with it 5-6 days a week, often intensely to the point I would turn off the music, or talk radio.
I've finally managed to find a ways to rid myself of it. Music sounds soooooo much better now, and I can turn it WAY up.
My take on the causes and possible fixes:
Medications I'm on and have reduced significantly
Managing the duration and/or loudness of noises for 20-30 minute period after awakening: water running (shower), heater, shower fan, riding in a car, loud music.
I had this shit for the past eight years!!!
