You, as many other audiopholes, spend way too much time obsessing about this stuff.
I'm registered here as an Audiophile. That's because there isn't a category for "former industry professional" or "musician".
Let me be clear:
At least for me, I love a great sounding stereo sound reproduction system, but, first and foremost, it's about the music. I can be anywhere in the house, and it sounds fine to me, 'cause I'm into the MUSIC.
