IsoAcoustic speaker stands

Anyone use or tried these? They are for sale at several places and the website shows Dynaudio sell them with a certain monitor. I listened to the video demo and wasn't convinced what I heard was better, although certainly different. Here's my experience.

A dealer heard a demo at an audio show and was enthused about them. He graciously brought a pair in custom to my speakers for me to try. As soon as they were in place I heard an immediate difference but as stated before not necessarily better. Then as I listened more the sound actually became annoying to me and the stands had to go. The sound did seem to give more air and space around things but the sound wasn't "right" to my ears, vocals were cooler, midbass reduced, the overall sound was what I can only describe as hollow or ghostly.

The design of the stands basically floats the speaker, allowing any movement or vibration from the driver to cabinet to go back and forth in the stand. Sorry, the website says this better. This goes against everything we've been taught about sturdy cabinet, sturdy stance, hence spikes, filled stands etc. Then it dawned on me, my theory, the stands are preventing the woofer from working properly, midbass reduction due to less hit, vocals have the lower octaves missing or reduced drastically.

This may be a better option to a boomy speaker on a desk but I didn't find it a good thing for my floorstanding speakers. I was just curious if I'm the only one who heard things this way?

Once the stands were removed the soundstage sounded more compressed but I was engaged with my music again. I found myself very sensitive to the effect the stands had on my speakers and when I reached my tolerance they http://v2.isoacoustics.com/had to go.

Before someone wastes a post, I did use the "optional URL" but it didn't work.
