In The "You Can't Make This Stuff Up" Department

I'm a trumpet player (and a pretty damn good one, back when I actually played).

So, daily routine. I got out of the car to go into the grocery store.

But, I heard someone playing a trumpet.

So, I walked toward the sound. There, at a barber shop in the strip mall, was the owner, playing his horn. It was after hours, but he saw me and came to unlock the door.

We talked a little about trumpets and music. I saw a flugelhorn, and said that it appeared to be pretty old.

He said, "Yeah. I saw a case in a bombed out building in Iraq. When I opened it, there was this flugelhorn, so I brought it home."

What?! You found a vintage flugelhorn in a bombed out building in Iraq! Seriously?!

Who'd a ever thunk THAT! And that we'd ever meet.
