RE: Bi-Wire

The only in depth listening test of bi-wiring I am aware of came to the conclusion that those jumper plates used on bi-wirable terminals are detrimental to sound quality and bi-wiring brings the SQ back to the level of a single set of terminals.
This can be also be achieved easier and cheaper by just simply using cable jumpers.


I have a pair of Tannoy LittleReds which have four posts on the back. A number of other owners said that biwiring them really improved the sound in their experience. That second pair of posts is not actually connected to anything inside the speaker, it exists to help bypassing the crossover altogether when operating them active.
