I recommend reading an on-line article "Why bi-wiring has no benefits".

My Martin-Logan Summit speakers have bi-wiring connections, but the user's manual says there is no advantage to bi-wiring! M-L says they left the connections only so users who already had had dual cables could use them! I originally bi-wired the Summits but then changed to single wiring, using my DIY bi-wire cables doubled up to each terminal. I couldn't hear much difference; it may have been slightly better but it was certainly not worse. My system is now sounding the best it's ever been, but that's mainly due to a change in tubes. The Summits may be a special case because they have a separate built-in bass amplifier. Nevertheless, I now wouldn't bother with bi-wiring.
