RE: A discussion topic

I tried a number of times to get one well-known reviewer friend to listen to my setup, even offered to bring bits of my gear by to his place for him to hear, since I thought my setup was lightyears better than the various setups I heard him with (and which he waxed very poetic about). No interest, he said he wasn't interested in anything that wouldn't make for a good review (commercial products, with dealers, etc). I suppose after listening to so much stuff, the chance to hear something new and different loses its glamour.
