Dealer audition faux pas... experiences?

I've had two.

Once in a dealer showroom where I felt the sound was out of phase. Sure enough the embarrassed dealer realized polarity incorrect on one of the speaker cables. My friend with me at the time was the one looking to upgrade his system. He didn't buy anything there.

The second time was a doozie. This was in home. I wanted to add a crossover and power amp to my Sequerra Met 7's and one matching sub. The dealer cranked it. Stood back and smiled. What the heck I thought? Somethings wrong. Sure enough he had the lows coming out of the satellite speakers and the highs out of the sub. Poor guy was shaken. Fixing the situation was moot as by then I just wanted him out.

Cheers!
