The whole point of doing the disc was to help support the artists, many of whom are local. The royalty structure truly puts the artists first, unlike most record deals.
The recordings are all of very high quality, and I think Gus did a terrific job mastering the disc.
All I can say about many of the comments above is, you can't please everyone. Any attempt to do so will end in failure, and condemning something because you don't care for that style of music is truly small-minded and picayune.
And the last time I checked, there aren't many audio companies out there who are actually putting their money where their mouth is, when it comes to supporting musicians.
