Do you remember the Tower outlet store that was around the corner from the huge (6 stories, I think) Greenwich Village store? It was the size of a supermarket and filled with cut out LPs and CDs. Records were everywhere - in bins, piled on the floor, stacked on tables. At times it was hard to get around in the place because of the piles of records in the aisles. The selection changed constantly, and the prices were low enough that you could take a chance on records that you'd never heard of but had an intriguing title or amusing jacket photo or something else that caught your eye. It was an amazing place.
