What you consider crap, may be anothers favorites.
My tastes are quite eclectic. ECM I believe would be considered an audiophile label, I don't consider Charles Lloyd crap music, or Clifford Jordan's releases on Mapleshade to be crap. Acoustic Sounds has released some very good blues albums, that they happen to be well recorded, is just a bonus.
I find making blanket statements, is foolish. I also find some audiophiles need to crap on anything they don't like. I have never understood that. In the online magazine, Kessler felt the need to insult Gram Parsons music to make a case for the greatness of Michael Nesmith.
Diana Krall's first couple of releases are quite good, as are some of the Patricia Barber releases. I have the original releases, not the remastered versions.
To me rather than rip on music, why not make suggestions "if you like A, then check out B". Years ago I quit reading the music forums here, because of the negativity.
It's like the poster who felt the need to tell us he doesn't like folk music. Who cares, are we supposed to be impressed by his high brow tastes? I wasn't impressed.
