More women and young people present, although many were in the company of a typical audiophile. Fewer turntables. More servers and digital only set-ups. Lots of Aurender servers. More reasonably priced systems. More high end systems set up in the regular hotel rooms. Great live music, both on the main stage at night and on the 6th floor musicians rooms. The audio press seemed to be very accessible. I had conversations with Jonathan Valin, Julie Mullins, and Greg Weaver. All of them asked for my opinions on some of the rooms. More equipment builders than in the past, also very accessible. I had a long talk with Peter Madnick, who also owns the same speakers as me. Very cool. Some standout rooms: Elac, Odyssey,Sonist, Marten, MBL, Sonus Faber IL Cremonese. I heard MQA files being played in the NAD/PSB room. The most common comment that I heard was the music being played was not something anyone would play at home. Music wise: more classical, more electronica, no Diana Krall. Lot's of Stevie Ray and Elvis. Overall a great time.
